Rothschild House State Park

This 1/2 acre park features a restored house was built in 1868 and depicts the architecture of its time. The house contains over 2500 antiques and most are the furnishings of the original inhabitants. It also features formal gardens planted with old-fashioned or non-hybrid roses, an herb garden, peony beds, lilac hedges, and other old varieties of flowers from around the United States. The house is listed on both the State and National Register of Historic Places.

The park is currently operated in a cooperative agreement with the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce and Washington State Parks. The Chamber staffs the house, while State Parks provides maintenance and oversight.

The park is located in Port Townsend, at the corner of Taylor and Franklin.

The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
