Restores and protects a variety of fish species, including Atlantic salmon, striped bass, American shad, weakfish, winter flounder, Atlantic sturgeon and lake trout. Stable fish populations indicate healthy river systems that can provide ample fishing and recreational opportunities. Tours arranged by the hatchery manager and provide opportunities to learn about fish, fish stocking programs and the importance of aquatic diversity. Stocks thousands of fish annually to streams in the Monongahela National Forest
