Freedom is a small unincorporated town with only one retail business, a country store. Located right on the Idaho-Wyoming border, in fact Freedom is half Idaho and half Wyoming. It is one of 10 small towns in a high mountain valley called Star Valley. Because of its incredible alpine scenery, it has earned the nickname, "The Little Switzerland of America." About 50 miles south of Jackson Hole Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Located in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and snowmobiling are just a few of the activities awaiting you. Just short distances away are several blue-ribbon trout streams and several major rivers.
