San Diego Aerospace Museum, a non-profit organization, is to provide for the public an educational, scientific and cultural institution devoted to the history of aviation and space flight. The San Diego Aerospace Museum brings to life aviation's rich heritage through a dazzling collection of over 65 U.S. and foreign aircraft and spacecraft.
Located in the Ford Building at Pan American Plaza in Balboa Park, the museum honors the history of aviation and aerospace exploration. A replica of Lindbergh's Spirit of St Louis and an A-12 Blackbird are on display. The Hall of Fame honors heroes of aviation and space. A tour of the aircraft restoration facility is also available. The museum is open daily except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Admission is free on fourth Tuesday of the month.
