Founded in 1940 , this is a commuter institution of the state supported University System and offers undergraduate programs in arts and sciences, business and economics, dental health, education, music, nursing, and public and environmental affairs. There are 10 undergraduate and 7 graduate schools. The 73 acre campus is in a suburban area 90 miles west of Chicago. There are 34 buildings and no residence halls.
