St. Catharines

Located on the Niagara Peninsula along Lake Ontario, St. Catharines is at the center of the Niagara fruit belt. World War I fighter pilots trained west of town at the Beamsville Royal Flying Corps School of Aerial Fighting. Special events include Blossom Week in May, the Folk Arts Festival in May and June, the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Regatta in August, and the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival in September.
