The Greenwood Museum is a general museum with collections in cultural history, natural history, technology, and the arts, with particular emphasis on Greenwood County and the surrounding region. The exhibits document the ways of life, cultural trends, and technology from prehistoric to contemporary times. The collections range from fossils to industrial robots and provide objects for The Museum's changing exhibits and educational programs. The museum showcases works of regional and national artists.
The Greenwood Museum is conveniently located in the heart of Greenwood's "Uptown" shopping area. The main floor houses history, natural history and Edison exhibits. Monsanto Exhibition Hall (lower level) highlights the evolution of textiles, transportation and communication and the upper level features and art gallery and international collections.
