Ouachita Baptist is recognized as one of the outstanding liberal arts universities in the South, operating continuously since 1886. The university offers more than 40 majors in 4 schools which include arts & sciences, Christian studies, business & interdisciplinary studies. It also offers an International Studies program.

Current enrollment is at 1600 students. The campus is located 65 miles from Little Rock via I30, the eastern boundary of the campus is formed by the Ouachita River.
