Located in Brentwood Bay on the Saanich Peninsula at the southern tip of Vancouver Island, this famous 49 acre site contains the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden, Star Pond, Concert Lawn, Show Greenhouse and Ross Fountains. Spring brings azaleas, tulips, and daffodils; with summer come roses, annuals and perennials, then bursts of colorful foliage in the fall. Subtle colored lighting illuminates the gardens from mid-June through September, and from December to January there are festive lights and decorations. Gardens open daily at 9, with closing time varying according to season. There are restaurants, evening entertainment, and in July and August, Saturday night fireworks.
