Located on the west coast of the
Saanich Peninsula, Brentwood Bay offers shopping, dining, fishing, marinas and services. Its ferry can be taken across the Saanich Inlet to
Mill Bay north of
Victoria, instead of driving along Highway 17. Near the village is an interesting collection of butterflies and moths. Visit other areas of the Saanich Peninsula such as beaches, the Ocean Sciences Center, and the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory. Go picnicking and swimming at Coles Bay or Elk/Beaver Lake Park; hike Mount Newton in John Dean Park; wade, water ski or beachcomb at Island View Beach.
