Not actually a town, but a well-known area, comprising the southeastern-most tip of Vancouver Island, that houses several settlements and communities: Swartz Bay, Sidney, Brentwood Bay and Saanichton. The peninsula boasts parks, beaches, a marine science center, observatory, arts and crafts, a major ferry terminal, and the Butchart Gardens, to list only a few.
