Travel southeast on Highway 97 from
Cache Creek through
Ashcroft to reach Logan Lake. The area boasts the largest open pit copper mine in North America, and the Visitor Info Centre here is built in the form of a giant mining shovel. The area has many lakes, including 30 superb trout lakes and many lodges, all within 15 minute drives. Logan Lake, an ideal base camp for fishing, is also home to Meadow Creek, a 9-hole, par-72 golf course.
