After serving as the county jail and the county courthouse from 1867 to 1962, the building has housed the historical museum of
Calaveras County. Feature exhibits include Miwok Indian artifacts, mining relics, and 1850-1900 period exhibits. There is also a garden of native California plants and trees.
Open daily except holidays. Nominal admission.
