Collinsville is located in Hartford County west of Hartford between Avon and New Hartford along Highway 202 on the banks of the Farmington River near Nepaug Reservoir. Just southwest of Nepaug State Forest.
There isn't really any documented history of Collinsville besides that it was probably around the same time as Canton which was in 1806.
