Black Fashion Museum |
Founded in 1979, the Black Fashion Museum (BFM) is a non-profit cultural institution that serves as a repository for antique and recent garments that have been designed, made, and or worn by people of color. Through BFM, the community and the world are becoming acquainted with yet another facet of black heritage. The mission of the Black Fashion Museum is to identify, acknowledge and spotlight the achievements and contributions of people of the African diaspora to the fashion industry, past, present and future.
