Located in Building 76 at the Washington Navy Yard and interprets the history of the U.S. Navy from 1775 to the present. Exhibits depict important battles and early naval heroes, and displays trace developments in weapons and technology. Highlights include a gun deck section and a fully rigged foremast fighting top from the frigate USS Constitution and a submarine room with operating periscopes.
Open Monday through Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday, Sunday and holidays 10am-5pm in March through July. Open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm the rest of the year.
