Located on 12th and Pennsylvania Avenues, The Old Post Office was built in 1899 as the country's postal headquarters. Twice scheduled for demolition, the Romanesque giant was saved by citizens who valued its architecture. The renovated building now contains shops and restaurants; free daily perfomances are held on the lower level.
