Senate and House Office Buildings

Located on opposite sides of the Capitol Plaza. Three of the four House offices face Independence Ave. between First Street Southwest and First Street Southeast. The Rayburn building is the westernmost of the four House buildings with the Longworth building next door followed by the O'Neill building; the Cannon building is at the junction of C Street and New Jersey Avenue. The Senate offices, the Russell Dirksen and Hart buildings, are on Constitution Avenue between Delaware Avenue and Second Street Northeast. Senators travel from offices to the Capitol via subways which visitors may also use.
