The Cathedral houses 1300 years of history, as well as the bones of St Chad, within its magnificent architecture and stained glass. Open daily; entrance may be occasionally restricted due to services or concerts. A leaflet guides visitors around the Cathedral; special leaflets are available for children, and some overseas visitors. A Visitor Information Point features a touch-screen facility in the Visitors' Study Centre. A small, licensed restaurant serves light meals, tea and coffee, wine and beer.
