Anastasia State Recreation Area

Search St Augustine Florida

One of Florida's most popular beach areas, Anastasia offers many recreational opportunities; coastal camping, fishing, sun bathing, surfing, swimming, nature trails and picnicking are all available here. The coquina ('little shell') quarries located within the park are protected historic sites, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A self-guided nature trail winds through the hardwood hammock, and a ranger-guided walk takes visitors through the local salt marsh habitat. On Saturday nights during the summer, special nature-based slide programs are offered at the park campground. Open year-round for day use.
