The museum serves as the official repository of Brevard County history, culture, archaeology, and natural science. Diverse museum exhibits include antiques and artifacts of area pioneers, as well as displays of local fossils and other natural history specimens.
Located between the museum building and Clear Lake, the Nature Preserve consists of 22 acres of scrub, hammock and wetlands with three main trails, all wheelchair accessible; each highlighting a different type of ecosystem. A covered picnic pavilion and group tours are available by reservation.
The Museum is open Monday-Saturday, May-September; admission to the nature preserve is free to the public, and open during regular museum hours.
