Air Force Space Museum

Located at the Cape Canaveral Air Station, this museum gives visitors a unique perspective on historic US space programs; displays include various missiles, rockets, and other space equipment as well as the authentically restored blockhouse and control rooms for Complex 26. Exhibits and displays in the blockhouse, as well as those in an adjacent exhibit hall, highlight the days when the 'space race' was the foremost event of the Cold War. The museum grounds include Space Launch Complex 5/6, where the first two US manned space flights originated. The museum is open daily, except during launches when the facility is closed to the public. Admission is free to the public.
