Bruneau Dunes State Park18 miles southwest of Mountain Home |
At Bruneau Dunes State Park sand dunes tower to 470 feet high and rise above small lakes. A visitor center offers information on all birds of prey, insects, fossils, wildlife, and sand dunes. Bird watching and fishing are popular pastimes. The dunes are intermixed with sagebrush desert and grassland flats.
