Lucky Peak State Park

Lucky Peak State Park Boise, Idaho (State Parks) image There are three separate units to this day-use park 10 miles east of Boise. All are located near the Lucky Peak Reservoir. Discovery Unit is available for picnicking and fishing. Sandy Points, at the foot of Lucky Peak Dam, features the most popular beach in the Idaho State Park system, as well as picnicking and concession. The Spring Shores Unit offers boat docks, a ramp, boat trailer parking, a marina, and concession services.

The Oregon Trail near here offers good mountain biking. The Discovery and Sandy Point units are connected to the Boise Green Belt. The park is open May to October.

Many of Idaho's most beautiful and scenic spots are preserved in the Idaho State Parks system.
