Boise State University, situated along the Boise River, is an important educational, cultural, theatrical, musical and athletic center. Established in 1932, the university has 13,500 students enrolled in nine schools and colleges. Public tours are offered Monday thru Friday at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Highlights of the campus include the Simplot/Micron Technology center, Christ Chapel, the Boise State University Pavilion entertainment complex and Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, home of the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra.
