Another of the east-west highways that traverse the
Snake River Plain, Highway 26 enters Idaho from Oregon with
Highway 20 and joins
Interstate 84 in
Boise. It splits from
Highway 20 at
Mountain Home, leaving Interstate 84 at Gooding and rejoining Highway 20 at
Carey. They again separate near Atomic City and rejoin briefly at
Idaho Falls. The two highways finally separate just east of Idaho Falls, with Highway 26 making its way east into Wyoming on its way to Jackson.
