Like most successful community projects, the idea for building a hospital to serve the townspeople of Orofino and the surrounding areas started with a few civic minded people who had a vision for the future. That was 1954. Clearwater Valley Hospital first opened its doors in 1957 and has been serving residents of the Upper Clearwater area ever since.
In 1995, a new modern clinic was constructed at the hospital site, combining medical records, administration and ancillary services for both facilities. The Board of Trustees works closely with the medical, nursing, administrative and support staff, as well as the CVH Foundation and Auxiliary to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality medical care in a personal, professional manner.
