
Ponderosa State Park covers most of a thousand-acre peninsula that juts into
Payette Lake. The topography of the park ranges from arid sagebrush flats to dense woods. The North Beach Unit hs a beach and picnic area.
The park offers self-guided walks with park naturalists and evening campfire programs. The scenic overlook at Porcupine Point offers a spectacular view of Payette Lake.
The park, just two miles NE of the McCall city center, is open year-round. Many of Idaho's most beautiful and scenic spots are preserved in the Idaho State Parks system.
