Targhee National Forest

In its 1.8 million square miles, the Targhee National Forest incorporates a huge variety of landscapes, from high timber to arid semi-desert where you can find sagebrush.

It's a land replete with waterfalls, lakes, rivers, and wildnerness you'll enjoy visiting again and again.

The forest is also a great jump-off point for some of America's best-known natural attractions, since it borderrs Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

Campers will enjoy a stay in one of Targhee's 29 campgrounds. Water enthusiasts will enjoy a trip down the Forest Service's first National Recreation Water Trail.
