Lacon

Lacon is located in north central Illinois in Marshall County (of which it is the county seat) between Peoria and La Salle along Highway 26 and the Illinois River/Goose Lake. Nearby Marshall SFWA and Marshall State Park provide recreational opportunities for area residents and visitors alike.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,012, an increase of 26 since 1990.
