Lacon is located in north central Illinois in Marshall County (of which it is the county seat) between Peoria and La Salle along Highway 26 and the Illinois River/Goose Lake. Nearby Marshall SFWA and Marshall State Park provide recreational opportunities for area residents and visitors alike.
