LaSalle Lake is a manmade, 2,000-acre lake 8 miles southeast of Marseilles in La Salle County. Its primary function is serving as a cooling lake for Commonwealth Edison's LaSalle Power Station, but fishing and hunting are encouraged. Striped Bass, Black Bass, White Bass and Hybrid Bass are harvested here. The lake averages about 15' deep but has a few spots that are as deep as 70'. Only one boat ramp is provided and is located on the south side of the lake.
