Mt. Pulaski is located in central Illinois in Logan County about 10 miles south-southeast of Lincoln and 25 miles northeast of Springfield. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,560, a decrease of 50 since 1990. Nearby recreation includes visits to Mt. Pulaski Historical Site to the west of town and Edward R.
