The Pomona Winery is nestled in the hills of the Shawnee National Forest and surrounded by Illinois' most wild and scenic attractions. Having the luxury of being able to choose from Illinois' finest fruit from local orchards and farms, the owners and winemakers, George Majka and Jayne Payne, have specialized in award-winning fruit wines. All six of their premium apple wines have been awarded medals in national and international competitions. Dessert wines made from local peaches, blueberries and strawberries have continued the winery's tradition of uncompromising excellence.
