Red Hills State Park

Dominated by the highest point of land between St Louis, MO, and Cincinnati, OH, Red Hills State Park marks the westernmost edge of the first land in Illinois ceded by Native Americans to the United States. U.S. 50 north of Sumner bisects its 950 acres of wooded hills and picturesque meadows. Among the amenities is the historic Trace Inn restaurant.
