The highlight of this outstanding 1,500-acre Appalachian mountain resort and retreat is the scenic 1,100-acre Dewey Lake. Visitors will find an amazingly modern list of park amenities to choose from, including a lodge, an amphitheatre which hosts summertime musical performances, a conference center, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, nine-hole golf course, and over 10 miles of hiking trails. The Mountain Parkway Sky Lift carries visitors up a 4,700-foot ascent to the top of Sugar Camp Mountain for panoramic views of stunning countryside.

More traditional park amenities include a campground, picnic facilities and playground, a boat ramp and launches, and fishing on Dewey Lake. The park hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, contact the park for more information. Open year-round.
