Meredith Miles Marmaduke, a Santa Fe trader, and Missouri's Confederate governor, Claiborne F. Jackson. During the Civil War, when Missouri had two governors, Jackson established a government in exile in Texas. Jackson was married at various times to three daughters of Arrow Rock's Dr. John Sappington, who also is buried in this historic cemetery.
