The H Earl Clack Museum, located on the Hill County Fairgrounds, opened in 1964. It offers interpretive displays correlated with archaeological findings in the nearby Wahkpa Chu'gn Archaeological Site. There are excellent dioramas illustrative of the history and development o this area. In addition to the exhibits, daily guided tours at the archaeological site and of historic Fort Assinniboine are available.

The museum is located in the Heritage Center in downtown Havre, 4 blocks south of the Amtrak stop. Open year round, 10:00 to 5:00. Group reservations required.
