Howrey Island Campground

This is a watchable Wildlife Viewing area. The 1.3 mile Howrey Island Nature Trail will let you explore a typical riparian cottonwood forest. One of only four known active bald eagle nesting sites in SE Montana. The nature trail for wildlife is self guided. The campground is 26 miles west of Forsyth on Interstate 90, then 3 miles north to Hysham and 8 miles west on Route 311, across the Yellowstone River at Myers.
