Lewis and Clark National Forest |
The forest consists of over 1.8 million acres in west-central Montana. It includes part of the Bob Marshall Wilderness within the Rocky Mountain Division. The Jefferson Division, southeast of Great Falls, has forested mountains with popular hiking trails. Winter sports are available near White Sulphur Springs and Choteau.
The forest is administered by the US Forest Service.
