Located off
Highway 93 south of
Flathead Lake, these two refuges each cover more than 2000 acres and provide habitat for thousands of geese, ducks and other water birds. A viewing area operated cooperatively by the tribal, state and federal authorities gives birdwatchers good access to Ninepipes NWR. Some portions are closed during spring nesting season. The refuges are closed during hunting season.
