Steele County

Steele county is located in the Valley Region and calls Finley its county seat. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 2,182, a decrease of 238 over the 1990 census.

The agriculturally rich county can count Golden Lake on the north side as its largest body of water while portions of Beaver Creek flow west-east through that area as well.

For trivia buffs, the KTHI-TV tower is 2,063 feet high and as such is the tallest structure in North America. The tower is located in the southeastern quadrant of the county.
