Bancroft is located in
Cuming County 15 miles NW of
West Point between Decatur and
Wisner along Highway 51.
Named for historian George Bancroft, the town is just outside the Omaha Indian Reservation and near the Winnebago Indian Reservation on Hwy 51. The Missouri River and the Iowa state line are to the east, and the Logan River runs just east of town.
Bancroft is home to Triple "C" Products, Inc., established in 1971.
