Lyndhurst

Named for Lord Lyndhurst, who in the past visited the area, the Township of Lyndhurst is located in Bergen County, in the Gateway Region, northeast of Newark between North Arlington and Rutherford along Highway 3 on the banks of the Hackensack River. Lyndhurst is part of the Bergen-Passaic, New Jersey metro area.

Less than one mile to the east is the Passaic River, and a large sports complex is about one mile north.
