Pennington is in Mercer County, north of Trenton, and is part of the Trenton, New Jersey metropolitan area. It is off State Highway 31, about three miles north of I-95, and five miles east of the Delaware River and the Pennsylvania border. Nearby are Princeton Battlefield State Park, Lawrenceville, Drumthwacket, and Baldwin Lake Wildlife Management Area.
