Wind and water have carved welded tuff-compressed layers of volcanic ash into 680 acres of wing and water carved rocksrows of monoliths. A small desert botanical garden contains cactuses and other native plants. Camping and picnicking are permitted. There are 70 camping sites, 10 of which have electric hook-ups
