The number of museum exhibits and separate historic structures totals twenty-three, set on a thirty-two acre landscaped site overlooking
Blue Mountain Lake. Exhibits range from an entire building devoted to water transportation to one-room Sunset Cottage covered entirely with split-wood decorations, the epitome of Adirondack Rustic architecture. The history of the Valley is dramatized in a audiovisual light show. There is also a forest fire observation tower and a formal garden.
