Bacone College is located on a beautiful 187-acre campus in
Muskogee, in
Muskogee County about 70 miles southeast of
Tulsa. It was founded in 1880 and is the oldest continuous center of higher education in the state.
The four-year College originally was housed at the Cherokee Baptist Mission at Tahlequah and intended to educate First Nation members. It now is a multicultural institution reaching out to all those in need of a quality education.
Academic programs run the gamut from Computer Science to Horticulture Science to Counselor Training for Substance Abuse. Associates degrees as well as the Bachelor of Science are granted.
