Kenton Oklahoma

Kenton is located in the Panhandle region of Oklahoma in Cimarron County, northwest of Boise City along Highway 325 just south of the Cimarron River near the New Mexico state line.

Recreational opportunities include Lake Etling and Black Mesa State Park as well as the mesa itself which, at 4,973 feet, is Oklahoma's highest point. On the east side of the mesa stands a hill known as Robbers Roost which harbored wild west outlaws and these days is known as a "dinosaur graveyard." More than 18 tons of dinosaur bones, including a 6-foot-long Allosaurus femur, have been taken from the area.

Other local attractions include the Kenton Mercantile.
