Taloga is located in western Oklahoma near the center of
Dewey County along U.S. Highway 183 on the banks of the
Canadian River and is the county seat. The nearest significant bodies of water are
Canton Lake, about 20 statute miles east-northeast, and
Foss Lake in neighboring
Custer County, about 40 miles to the southwest.
Museum buffs will find the Jail House Museum of interest.
