Between <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/p/portland.htm">Portland</a> and <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/j/junction.htm">Junction City</a>, old <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/h/hwy99.htm">Highway 99</a> ran along two parallel courses. Highway 99E still exists in many places. Designated McLoughlin Blvd on the south side of <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/p/portland.htm">Portland</a>, the highway runs through <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/m/milwauki.htm">Milwaukie</a>, <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/g/gladston.htm">Gladstone</a> and <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/o/oregonci.htm">Oregon City</a>. South of Oregon City, it holds close to the east bank of the <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/w/willarvr.htm">Willamette River</a> almost to <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/c/canby.htm">Canby</a>. It passes through <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/c/canby.htm">Canby</a> and <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/a/aurora.htm">Aurora</a> and skirts <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/w/woodburn.htm">Woodburn</a>, joining <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/i/i5.htm">Interstate 5</a> north of <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/s/salem.htm">Salem</a>. It breaks away from <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/i/i5.htm">Interstate 5</a> again at <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/a/albany.htm">Albany</a> and continues south through <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/h/halsey.htm">Halsey</a> and <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/h/harrisbu.htm">Harrisburg</a> before meeting <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/h/hwy99w.htm">Highway 99W</a> at <a href="http://www.ohwy.com/or/j/junction.htm">Junction City</a>.<P>                    <P>
